I had the pleasure of having Kristine for my prenatal, childbirth and postnatal care for the pregnancy and birth of my 3rd child. All my pregnancies and births were attended by midwives, but Kristine's knowledge and care were outstanding - head and shoulders above the rest. and the rest were wonderful, knowledgeable and caring midwives. I lament that Kristine is no longer living near me, we have lost a truly fabulous midwife. Our loss is Colorado's gain. Do not hesitate for one moment about hiring Kristine, you will not regret it.

Kristine was my midwife for both of my births; she was also midwife to several of my friends, and trained the midwives of many other friends. There is no one I trust more. She knows each of her clients well, and she respects their wishes completely. She knows when to come forward and when to hold back, when to act and when to wait. She brings the best qualities to a birth: kindness, patience, and understanding, as well as knowledge, skill, and experience.

I highly recommend Kristine. I actually worked with her for an intense month in Senegal, West Africa attending births in a clinic. She handled every birth with amazing skill and knowledge while being gentle. Kristine trusts birth and it shows. She also worked with me for my pregnancy a bit, though wasn't my midwife because we were very far away. She helped me turn my breech baby with hypnosis and was gentle and loving. I always felt supported by her. She is highly recommended!!!

I was living in Brazil while pregnant with my daughter. My husband and I were not satisfied with the 90% c-section rate so we searched for a midwife willing to come to Brazil. Kristine agreed to come down. She was a true profession and came completely prepared. I was impressed that she made arrangements before coming down with a local doctor to perform an emergency c-section if need be. We had a beautiful and empowering home water birth (in a kiddie pool). Kristine stepped back and let me experience for myself that my body knew what it was doing and that I could trust it. It was a magical experience that wouldn't have been possible without Kristine. She'll always hold a special place in our hearts!

Kristine is a gifted midwife who truly believes in the power of women to birth their babies with essentially no interventions. Kristine has tremendous amounts of experience with obstetric emergencies, thanks to her volunteer work in Africa and Asia, so families can trust that, in the unusual event that there would be a complication, Kristine is well prepared to handle it. The more likely scenario, however, is that the birth unfolds without complication or intervention, in part, precisely because Kristine comes along side the birthing family with her bedrock belief that birth "works," and simply holds the space as a witness while that happens. You could hardly find a midwife more grounded or more firm in her conviction that mothers can birth their babies....it's really as simple and as beautiful as that!

Kristine attended both of my births and I couldn't recommend her more highly. She is knowledgeable, confident, utterly responsible and professional. She listens well and is a great support but not ever intrusive. I only wish I lived near her for the rest of my births.

I had 2 exquisite home waterbirths with Kristine. She was amazing. My husband and I labored and birthed with no interventions and in complete privacy. I hardly knew she was there - just her calm presence whenever I needed something - very reassuring.
